With 20 years in private practice, Peggy has helped hundreds of North Carolinians
with their business and estate needs. Her practice encompasses a wide range of legal
issues including intellectual property, employment law, computer law, business structuring
and estate planning. She is particularly proud of being able to assist new entrepreneurs
meet the challenges of creating a successful venture, from the germination of an
idea to fruition as one of the top North Carolina businesses.
Peggy was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of two school teachers.
She attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, before transferring to the
University of Missouri where she received a B.S. in education. She taught elementary
school for several years before moving to North Carolina, which she has called home
since 1978. She attended law school at the University of North Carolina where she
became a diehard Tarheel fan. She has been engaged in the private practice of law
since 1988.
