Matthew Turpin Associate Attorney - Estate Planning

Bio

A native son of the Appalachian Mountains, Matthew hails from the small town of Sylva, North Carolina, where was born and raised. As the son of a jeweler, Matthew worked alongside his father in his family’s jewelry store for many years before attending law school.

Matthew received his Juris Doctor from Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in downtown Raleigh. As a law student, he worked as a business law research assistant for his professor and mentor where he studied North Carolina partnership law. His strong work ethic and natural curiosity earned him a Book Award for his excellent achievement in the study of law, ethics, technology and jurisprudence. Upon graduation, Matthew scored in the 95th percentile on the Uniform Bar Exam, an outstanding achievement for any attorney.

During the pandemic, Matthew enrolled in Campbell University Lundy-Fetterman School of Business where he earned his Masters in Trust and Wealth Management—graduating Magna Cum Laude. Studying investments, trusts, and tax planning prepared Matthew to pursue a career in estate planning.

On the weekends, you can find Matthew enjoying the great outdoors, riding steam locomotives with his father, visiting museums, or snatching up a vintage timepiece for his collection.
